No sanctions for gambler, attorney - 2004-03-21
A federal appeals court has backed off its threat to sanction an Evansville attorney who took legal action against Casino Aztar for failing to ban his gambling-addicted client from betting on the gambling boat.

The U.S. 7th Circuit Court of Appeals issued an order March 15 indicating that neither attorney Terry Noffsinger nor his client, David N. Williams, will be sanctioned for filing the lawsuit, which received national media attention.

Trump looking for a way to save Atlantic City casino - 2004-03-21
At Donald Trump's Trump Marina casino, a minimum of one-third of the seats at the 39 blackjack tables were vacant on Presidents Day in February. Across Brigantine Boulevard at the Borgata Casino, all 62 tables were full.

The 8-month-old Borgata, with a 50,000-square-foot spa and 42-inch plasma-screen televisions in suites, is taking business from Atlantic City-based Trump Hotels & Casino Resorts Inc. To renovate his hotels, Trump said last month he'll seek an agreement with holders of $1.8 billion in bonds to obtain $400 million in fresh financing from Credit Suisse First Boston.
