Group to contemplate a downtown casino - 2004-03-25
Acting Mayor Marvin Pratt and County Executive Scott Walker on Thursday unveiled an initiative to decide whether the Potawatomi Bingo Casino should relocate downtown, a concept tribal leaders welcomed cautiously.

There are some other serious worries for the tribe. First, relocating the casino would need federal authorization for declaring the new casino site federal trust land, something that's been done infrequently and a process that could take years.
