Shiprock Chapter still desiring casino vote - 2004-03-26
Officials for the Shiprock Chapter will be at today's assembly of the Navajo Election Board to see if they can get permission to have a referendum on the casino issue throughout the May 4 primary.

Duane "Chili" Yazzie, the chapter's president, stated chapter officials want to take a pulse of the chapter associates to see if they want local leaders to go after the concept of establishing a casino in the community.
