Sheplers launches another Las Vegas outlet - 2004-03-31
Wichita-based Sheplers Western Wear continues to set up franchises in Las Vegas.

Sheplers, with corporate offices at 6501 W. Kellogg, has launched its newest store in the interior of Sam's Town Hotel & Casino, company officials say.

The Sam's Town site is the first Sheplers inside a casino, officials state.

Casinos Get Played - 2004-03-31
Just two weeks prior, a $518 million proposal to put a casino in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont got Isle of Capri Illinois' 10th and final gaming license. That ruling is under examination for multiple reasons, but if you ask me, Illinois should drop the probe and let Isle pay.

Which is something the casino may be loathe to do. Reuters reported that Illinois State Sen. Denny Jacobs will bring in a bill that would include two more gaming licenses in a bid to cut the state's budget deficit more.
