Man dies in fall from Detroit casino parking structure - 2004-03-06
A 42-year-old man lost his life Saturday night after either falling or jumping from a parking lot at the MotorCity Casino, police stated.

The man, whose name was not revealed because relatives are yet to be informed, was pronounced dead at 10:26 p.m., said an officer with the Detroit Police Department's gaming division who would not give her name.

The man jumped or fell from the fourth floor of the structure, the officer said.

Project includes Vacation Village site - 2004-03-06
The 25-acre piece of land at the far-south end of the Las Vegas Strip that was the site of the Vacation Village casino will be redeveloped.

Condominium developer Turnberry Associates plans to use the location, along with 75 acres of adjoining property, to build a $300 million entertainment complex, with a 20-screen theater, restaurant row and farmers market, among other venues. The 1.5 million-square-foot complex is scheduled for completion by late summer 2005.
