Mexico City mayor says U.S. part of video scandal - 2004-03-09 Mayor Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador alleged Monday that the U.S. and Mexican federal governments as well as a casino were involved in a scandal that has shaken his administration.
During a news conference, Lopez Obrador repeated allegations that the Mexican government was plotting against him because of his popularity, which has consistently put him at the top of polls ahead of the 2006 presidential race.

Casino Gambling Not Likely In Kentucky, Backer Says - 2004-03-09 Just when it seemed legislation to bring casino gambling to Kentucky was gaining momentum, a key statehouse backer declared Mrch 8, that the effort was all but dead. House Speaker Pro Tem Larry Clark, D-Louisville, emerged from a meeting with horse racing industry officials and said an impasse in the legislation's language could not be overcome.
