Morongo casino is almost finalized - 2004-04-01
From the 26th floor of the Morongo Band of Mission Indians’ developing resort-casino, you can see nearly all of the tribe’s 32,000-acre reservation.
The Morongos currently run the state maximum 2,000 slot machines and have continually stated they could benefit from additional machines.

Lyons said the current 100,000-square-foot casino could be used to run additional slot machines if compact settlements with the state go well.

Casino permit anticipation continues - 2004-04-01
The wheel of fortune maintains its twirl for Des Plaines, Rosemont and Waukegan as hopefuls for the state's 10th casino license.

The officials of some of the 71 communities that intend to share the casino's profits if Rosemont keeps the license - including Oak Park, River Forest, Riverside and Maywood - held a press conference stating that Rosemont is certainly the ideal destination for the casino.
