Police kill gunman following lethal shooting in Vegas bar-casino - 2004-04-02
Police shot and killed a man shortly after witnesses stated he gunned down a customer inside an off-Strip bar-casino, authorities reported.

Two officers approached the gunman in a rear parking lot of the Eureka Casino, and shot him when he raised his handgun, Las Vegas police Capt. Tom Lozich stated.

Police chief prohibitions suspected gangsters from casino - 2004-04-02
Suspected drug kingpin Carl Williams and suspected murderer Mick Gatto have been prohibited from Crown casino.
Police Chief Commissioner Christine Nixon has used powers under the Casino Control Act to forbid both men from the gambling facility.

Section 74 of the Casino Control Act (1991) permits the Chief Commissioner to "prohibit a person from entering or remaining in a casino". Mr Williams and Mr Gatto, if released from jail, face a $2000 fine if they enter the casino.
