Police, KBI shut down Kansas City casino - 2004-04-03 Authorities have closed a tribal-owned casino in the city's downtown, and began to remove over 150 gambling machines.
On Wednesday, the National Indian Gaming Commission said the casino, which launched last fall in narrow trailers attached to a renovated Masonic Lodge building across the street from City Hall, was running illegally.
