Massive casino-resort launches today in No. California - 2004-04-04
The major launching of the Cache Creek Casino Resort, the development of what was a bingo hall and casino, takes place this morning in Brooks, Calif., 90 miles from San Francisco and less than an hour north of Sacramento in Yolo County.
The $200 million resort, owned by the Rumsey Band of Wintun Indians, is the first tribal casino with a hotel in Northern California. The 66,000-square-foot casino has 2,000 slots (legal limit), 120 table games and a 1,000-seat bingo hall. It employs 2,300 workers.
