Also impacting the ability of casinos to lure consumers is the ongoing growth of other types of gambling that took place outside casinos, like purchasing lottery tickets and playing video poker at racetracks.

Taking a gamble 'games of chance' - 2004-04-04
Should video games be permitted in taverns within the village? The Village Board will face that question next month.
Currently, video games that simulate casino games are not legal in village bars.

The ordinance in Mount Pleasant reports: "Video Games of Chance: A video game of chance is a game or device that simulates one or more games commonly referred to as poker, blackjack, craps, hi-lo, roulette or other common gambling forms, though not offering any type of pecuniary award or game to player."
