Gambling measure coalition awaits bill - 2004-04-05 A coalition of legislators will pass a gambling-development amendment in the Iowa Senate if the Ways and Means Committee unveils a gambling measure to the floor for a vote soon, State Sen. Bill Dotzler, D-Waterloo, reported.
The measure in Ways and Means works out taxation levels between current gambling boats and land-based horse and dog track casinos, but features no provision for expanding gambling.
