Two Tipsters Divide $60,000 Pay in Ohio Sniper Case - 2004-04-07
An anonymous tipster and a Las Vegas casino patron will divide a $60,000 reward for assisting in apprehending a man charged with a dozen sniper-like incidents in Ohio, a citizens organization said on Wednesday.
Most of the cash, $45,000, will go to the person who tipped police to the identity of Charles McCoy Jr., 28, who was taken into custody in Las Vegas last month.
Published reports have shown that person could be an affiliate of McCoy's family.
